Need someone to work with the Program Committee to identify potential appreciation gifts for speakers (approximately $15 a gift with an Arizona theme), bring list to a conference meeting, get consensus about gift, order gifts, wrap and attach gift card, etc.

Evaluation form developers with several easy responsibilities

Need one or more people to work with the Program Committee and Volunteer Committee to create, copy (with help from a Corporate sponsor) and distribute session/speaker, overall conference and volunteer evaluation forms; collect forms, summarize feedback in an electronic format and deliver all summaries to Conference Co-manager and session/speaker summaries to Program Co-manager responsible for sending summaries to presenters.

Time commitment:  10 hours to prepare all three forms plus attendance at the Conference (sample forms will be available)

AV equipment angels

Need two or more people for the Program Committee who can provide loaned AV equipment from their employers.  Right now we need two or more LCD projectors.

Time commitment:  Whatever time is needed to drop off and pick up equipment

AV support angels

Need one or two people for the Program Committee who can troubleshoot AV equipment problems during the conference.

Time commitment:  Attendance at the Conference

Session monitors

Need five or more people plus backups for the Program Committee to work in one of four conference rooms or the lab (can rotate to hear different speakers) throughout the conference to check room setup, equipment, amenities and supplies for each presentation; introduce speakers, making sure that they keep within their assigned time limits, manage the question/answer process following the presentations, and encourage participants to complete a copy of the session evaluation form.

Time commitment:  Attendance at a short orientation meeting the night before the Conference, and attendance at part or all of the Conference

PR monitor

Need two or more people to monitor STC SIG and Region 5 chapter Web sites and newsletters; professional/technology organization Web sites and newsletters; and business news media to determine how PR materials are being used, verify accuracy of information being published, and gather clippings for use in STC Public Relations Competition entry
Time commitment:  Varies, but shouldn't require more than two hours per month. This position can be short-term or longer-term beginning any time between now and the conference, and will end after the conference concludes.
